Every Wednesday and Saturday morning a very big open air general market – food and clothing - takes place downtown Pistoia.
Every 2nd Saturday and Sunday of each month – except July and August - an antique market takes place in Pistoia.

Florence and the Agriturismo I Pitti
Florence is approx. 35 km far away from Agriturismo I Pitti.
It can be easily reached by car, but we suggest to take the train from the station of Serravalle - 2 km far away from the Agriturismo I Pitti. There is a train every hour, and the train station in Florence is downtown, after travelling for 40 minutes. No parking problems and no stress driving in the trafic.

Lucca and the Agriturismo I Pitti
Lucca is approx 35 km far away from the Agriturismo I Pitti. It can easily be reached by the highway A11 in 30 minutes car drive.
In Lucca you can rent bikes for adults and children. It 'a fun way for the whole family to explore the city.
Every 3rd Saturday and Sunday of the month in Lucca, in the heart of the city, the second largest antique market in Italy is held.
Every 2nd and 3rd Saturday and Sunday of the month the craft market takes place in the center of Lucca.

Pisa and the Agriturismo I Pitti
Pisa is about 55 km from the Agriturismo I Pitti. It is easily reached in 50 minutes by motorway A11 that you take in Montecatini Terme.
Do not miss, in Pisa, to visit the Miracle Square with the Leaning Tower, the Cathedral, the Baptistery and the Monumental Cemetery.
In high season it is not easy to get tickets, especially to climb the tower. We are able to purchase tickets up to a day before the visit.
We also recommend a visit in the city center that will surely surprise the visitor, as you do not expect a portion of the center still medieval close to the quarter over the Arno modern and dynamic with many nice shops.
You can match well a half-day tour of Pisa with a half day at the beach in Marina di Vecchiano.

To Climb the Tower of Pisa and the Agriturismo I Pitti
If your children have at least 8 years I recommend you take them to the top of the Tower of Pisa. It may seem trite, but when they grow up,of the trip they did in Tuscany with parents, your children will remember perhaps Florence, maybe even the pasta eaten in a particular restaurant or maybe the huge Florentine steak, but you can be sure that they will never forget that they climbed the Tower of Pisa. It 'a unique experience.

Vinci, Leonardo's birthplace and the Agriturismo I Pitti
Vinci, nestled in the hills of Montalbano, is located about 17 km from the Agriturismo I Pitti.
It can be reached in two ways. In one direction you go towards Pistoia and continue towards S. Baronto, along a beautiful scenic route that offers glimpses of great effect on the city of Pistoia and Prato. The route is indicated quite well.
The other way goes around the other side of Montalbano hills passing by Monsummano Terme and continues towards Cerreto Guidi. Even this route offers panoramic views of one of the typical Tuscan landscapes of olive groves, vineyards, rolling hills that change color depending on the time of day.
In Vinci we suggest the visit of the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci and the Museum of Leonardo.
